Practice Makes Perfect (Private: Ember and Cherry)

The sun shone dimly in the horizon. It was a new day for the Clans and RiverClan. The air was chilly and crisp, but it was still a fine morning for some training. Cherrystar sat on top of the high rock, gazing out over her clan. Birds chirped from nearby, there was the soft sound of trickling streams and running water, the whispering of the wind, and the rustle of the tall grass and reeds. All was at peace.
But now, the time came where she needed to go training with her newly appointed apprentice, Emberpaw. She stood up and hopped down the rock, padding over the to the camp exit. She then plopped down, waiting for her apprentice to join her. She told Ember just the other day that every morning, they'll participate in all sorts of training.

Emberpaw yawned, groaning in annoyance. Sure, the Clan life was great, much better than being a rogue, but did everyone have to wake up this early? Emberpaw sighed as she stood up and sleepily walked out of the den to where her mentor, and the Clan leader, Cherrystar, waited for her.

As Ember strolled over to her, Cherry dipped her head in greeting. She continued to stay sitting, and gazed at her apprentice, noticing how tired she was. Hello, Emberpaw. How are you this fine sun-rise? She questioned her, slightly tilting her head to show concern. If Ember's answer was what she expected it to be, then they remain in the camp for only another few moments. And in that time, Cherry would speak with her about what they'd train for today, or maybe even how Emberpaw was enjoying her new clan life.

"Oh, the waking-up-early part is awesome!" Ember said sarcastically. "Can we not go to the river to fish? The one thing I don't like about fish it catching it." Ember looked at her mentor. "But, if we have to, then...yay."

Cherrystar nodded, well of course waking up was never the best part...but soon, Ember would learn to get used to it. Now about the fishing part, she hadn't that in mind. In fact, today they were going to hunt for avians. The simpler things first then hunting in the river and so on. Cherry looked down to Emberpaw and gave a soft purr, Dont you worry. We wont be swimming today. We'll be hunting only near camp for birds of any kind. Any complaints?

Emberpaw's ears shot up as she eagerly looked at her mentor. "Yay! Does it involve climbing trees or cliffs? I love climbing, and I love excitement, especially when cats get scared and they scream!...I'm getting off-topic, aren't I?"

Cherrystar seemed to have a faint smile spread across her face before replying, "Yes, we may need to climb trees but no cliffs." Glancing down to her apprentice, she then abruptly stood up and signaled with her tail for Ember to also stand. "It's about time we get going; we wouldnt want to make the birds wait for us." Promptly after, Cherry made her way to the camp exit and into the reeds.
