A Medicine Cat's Day (Private: Phantom)

Solsticeflower sat in her den, sorting her herbs. She had first tried to sort them by colour, but then that did not work to well, so she went with their effects. She would gently pick up an herb, check to see if it is still fresh and capable of healing, then wrap it in leaves and set it in one of the holes in the ground. She had finished eventually. She now sat in her den, awaiting some foolish young cat to injure themselves and come along to her to be healed. It was her duty. She did not attend patrols often, just sat there in waiting. She often got very little visitors, and she prefered to stay to herself. She sat with her tail wrapped around her paws. Bored. Whilst sorting her herbs, she had noticed that a few were missing, though ignored it until now. Perhaps gathering herbs would keep her busy. She got up and trotted out of the den, leaving the camp boundries by a few tail lengths. She now began to search for herbs. She knew the hotspots, though she wasn't sure which of the plants had died and which survived. It was leafbare, afterall.

A black she-cat was hunting nearby where Solsticeflower was gathering her herbs. Phantom crept towards the squirrel, who was busy nibbling away on an acorn a few tail lengths away. She crouched down, and quickly sprang at it. It tried to dart away, but Phantom was much too fast, and she snagged it. With a quick blow to the neck, the squirrel died, and Phantom picked it up in her jaws, ready to head back to BloodClan camp. A scent wafted towards her, and her ears pricked up. A ShadowClan cat? She padded towards the scent, and when she parted the bushes, it revealed a small black she-cat picking herbs.

Solsticeflower heard a small bit of rustling behind her and raised her head, ears perked. She, however, assumed that there was no issue. It was leaf-bare, afterall. The wind acted up very much during that time. She continued to gather herbs, delicately picking out the fully-grown ones and making sure that they were not cracked, crippled, or chewed on. It was, afterall, her job to make sure that her patients all got properly healed.

Phantom quickly dug a hole and dropped her squirrel in. Turning back around, she padded up to the she-cat. "Hi," she said. Phantom, as BloodClan leader, even though she wasn't a forest cat (anymore), was still pretty well-known for causing troubles to the clans sometimes. The black she-cat tilted her head. "Are you the ShadowClan medicine cat?"


Short post is short

Solsticeflower whipped around, her lean black body rippling with her in sudden terror. "Hello.. er... I am. Who are you?" She asked. She opened her mouth and sniffed the air, tasting it. The she-cat scented of rough areas. It was the scent of BloodClan. "I'm Solsticeflower, by the way."

Phantom raised an eyebrow, a bit shocked that this cat didn't recognize her. But she was kind of thankful for that, too. She really didn't need this medicine cat to go grab her other clanmates, since her other clanmates weren't that... nice to Phantom as Solsticeflower was. "No one special," she said. "Just a random cat passing by."

The black fem tilted her head, her blueish-amber eyes wide as she took in the details of this cat. "Well, what is your name, I mean?" She asked, sitting down and covering her paws with her tail. She did not want to show any signs of aggression. After all, this cat might prove to be friendly.
