Moon of Flame (Private: Cres & Driz)

Drizzleflame woke with a start. Glancing around with eyes wide and a pounding heart, she soon came to realize that she had only been dreaming. She was beside her sister, Crescentmoon, of whom of her own free will, decided to stick with Drizzleflame even after she was accused of murder.  It was still early in the morning, the sun poked out over the horizon only to the point where it could just be seen. Quietly, not to disturb her sleeping sister, Drizzleflame climbed out of the makeshift bed from the night before. She stretched out wide, feeling the chilly Leaf-Fall breeze against her pelt, then sat straight up, curling her tail around her paws. She gazed out into the distance, reflecting back upon her dream.
It had an odd sense to it...She didnt remember what she saw, but the fact that it felt eerie, and the words...She recalled the words alright. Feeling a shiver down her spine, Drizzleflame glanced back to Crescentmoon. In her dream, or nightmare she should say, it seemed liked something those Warrior cats would preach about. Stuff about StarClan and how each and every cat should believe or about how there was The Dark Forest and that you should never involve yourself with them. Well she didnt believe in either one. In the short amount of time she was within the clans, she just could not bring herself to think that way. There was no proof, evidence, that they were always watching over them. Though with that in mind...it was difficult forgetting about those words which frightened her so.

Crescentmoon aroused for her sleep at the slight movement of her sister. Though she never bother to move. She tucked her head beneath her paws. The nightmare she had frightened her on the inside. No signs were shown outside though. She didn't know if it was just a plain out nightmare or a message of some sort. Crescentmoon lifted her head up slowly to say something but only to realize the cat she was so used to speaking to wasn't there. She may have been in Shadowclan for only a few seasons but she was close to some cats.
   Shaking her head and standing up she made her way out next to her sister. Stretching with a yawn once she reached her side. Crescentmoon choose her sister, Drizzleflame, over her clan with no regrets what so ever. She still had someone to talk to and someone she was close to. She held no closeness to any of the dead warrior clans. She found it quite impossible.
   "So where shall we go from here?" She mewed and turned to look at her sister.

Drizzleflame perked up her ears when she heard the soft voice of her sister. Continuing to look forward, she responded, "I...i'm not sure...Anywhere, I suppose. Further from the clans? I dont want to have to deal with them any longer..." Switching her gaze down to her paws, she sighed, "Im sorry...I didnt really think about our future." Feeling a bit depressed, she thought it was best to try and hide it. She knew that her sister may think that her depression was caused by the clans, which was partly true, but her dream had a bigger role in it. Turning her gaze to Crescentmoon, she gave a faint smile, "How about after we hunt for food, we'll talk about where we're heading next? Im a little hungry."

Crescentmoon looked down at her. "Sure but you should stop worrying about our future and focus on the present we have right now." She mewed and placed a paw on Drizzleflame's head. She pushed her head down gently and laughed. She always believed that Drizzleflame had room for goofing around, even if it wasn't at the most appropriate time. She removed her paw and grinned. She stood up and looked back at her. "Last one to the tall Elk is a mouse's tail!" She laughed with a bright smile and jumped forth with a flip. She landed with a flick of her tail before sprinting down.

An actual smile crept onto Drizzleflame's face, it wasnt much, but it was a step in the right direction. She nodded to Crescentmoon before she had dashed away towards the Elk Tree. Drizzleflame had done the same; she chased after her sister and in time, caught up to her. She was always the faster one between the two.
As she ran beside Crescentmoon, her fangs were bared in a smile, she was really having fun. To her, it seemed like the two could run away from their problems, just like they were doing now. She was exiled, so it was practically saying she were free, free from the pressure of the Clan Cats. Even though, it wasnt for long that she had been with them, she had felt like she were trapped. Living the life of a loner or rogue along side her sister was all she needed. Nothing more.
As the Elk tree came into sight, Drizzleflame glanced to Crescentmoon. Rather than running ahead, she wanted to be next to her. She thought it was better than winning; she thought of the two of them calling each other mouse tail's, instead of only one of them.

Crescentmoon gazed back at her sister. She smiled to her before slowing her pace so she doesn't crash and tumble like the last time they raced down like that. She stopped and turned to Drizzleflame. Her blue eyes glistened brightly, even without stars they still shined. She chuckled and looked at the sky. "So... What do we do from here? We left our clans, we're together. Should we hunt in the stream or stick to the trees and forest floor?" She sighed lightly with a small smile. Not matter what happens. Not matter what we do, we will always be together. Crescentmoon looked at the stream. She could already feel the coolness of the water sweep over her, relaxing ever muscle in her body. "It is pretty hot out. I'd rather do one of those to instead of chasing rabbits up and down the moor and leaping for crows and jays in the field."

~Lets assume this takes place far before WCZ

Drizzle slowed at the same time as her sister, coming to a halt beside her. It was about time they hunted for prey, and the options Cress gave Drizz seemed to be the best bet, considering the heat. Noticing how Cressy longed for the stream, Drizzle pointed her muzzle to the water. "Lets just try to fish here. Maybe cool down, get a drink...If we cant catch prey, we'll continue on, I suppose." She tried to sound nonchalant, as she would have preferred the forest, but she'd do this for her sister.
Padding up to the stream, Drizzleflame set her paws in the cool water. Instantly, she felt relieved of the heat and bent her head to get a drink. Despite wanting to be in the shade of the trees, with the peaceful flow of the leaves, this was fine. She was with her sister, that's all that mattered. The two of them alone, only them...With no apparent threat on their lives, nor pressure from the Warriors with claimed borders. All was good, she hoped.
