Rewritten Futures

We’re on a class trip to China. Our teacher has developed many “fun” activities for us. We are a small class made up of 13(+ or -) kids. On the bright side we’re his favorite. That’s why we’re on this trip. At least he lets us wander around. But in a case that’s bad. (A Student’s name) recommended that we’d go party at an old sacred temple in the forest. Well that’s what the pamphlet says. Being teenagers and living the stupid, fun, life we went. And that’s where our story begins.


So we are teenagers and all of us are juniors. We go to this temple in the Hidden Forest. There’s no trouble getting to the shrine except for finding it. Once found and inside the temple something strange happens and we all get“possessed” by the twelve chinese. With the possession taking place we gain traits of the zodiac and a strange attribute. With these strange attributes we became wanted for governmental experiments. We are running away from authorities without a way to hide our special traits. With the Dragon’s host leading the group they will have to find a safe haven. We have yet to learn why these attributes were gained.

Zodiac and Traits


Snake-

Pros: Flexibility, scent advancement, 13 mph speed, water breather and strike speed

Cons: scaley parts of skin and top fangs (retractable), height decrease by 4 inches


Tiger(2nd in command)-

Pros: enhanced strength and smell, Tough, 13 mph speed, sight in dark

Cons: Small ears and larger canines, longer nails/claws


Dog-

Pros: Enhanced smell and hearing, 9 mph speed

Cons: floppy ears and tends to obey and fetch


Monkey-

Pros: enhanced flexibility, climbing master

Cons: Tail and goofiness


Ox-

Pros: 7mph speed, more muscles, and tough to knock down

Cons: horns and tendency to forget


Dragon(Leader)-

Pros: levitation, height increase by 1 inch, enhanced sight (distance and light), water breather

Cons: scaled armored skin and claws



Rabbit-

Pros: Enhanced speed to 23 mph, jump and hearing

Cons: Rabbit ears and love of vegetables


Rat-

Pros: Enhanced sight in darkness, balance increase, and 9mph speed

Cons: Rat tail, temptation to steal, height decrease by 4 inches


Ram-

Pros: Speed 11mph, hard head, and climbing

Cons- Ram horns


Boar-

Pros:Speed 14 mph and increased smell

Cons: height decrease by two inches and easily tempered


Horse-

Pros: Height increase by 6 inches, speed 24 mph, and enhance kick

Cons: Sugar Lover, longer hair, and random excitement


Rooster-

Pros: Flight and lightweight

Cons: Wings can’t disappear, longer nails, height decrease by 2 inches


Cat (outcast)-

Pros: sight

Cons: Tails and ears

11.You’re character turns into the animal on full/blue/red/harvest moons, chinese new year,  or when touched affectionately by someone of the opposite gender. (yes fruits basket… deal with it. This only applies to to humans touching zodiac. not zodiac touching zodiac.)


12.We are fine if not all zodiacs are used.


13.When ours characters are possessed they don’t become the animal they just gain the attributes.

Weaknesses: She has a low self-esteem and sometimes is temperamental. She's quite dense, and slightly clumsy.

Strengths: Enhanced strength, speed, sense of smell, and sight in darkness. She has fine endurance and is a tough foe in combat.
